Default 61 International Scout 80

I am in the process of trying to do away with the 4wd components on my 61 scout. Going to make it in to a street rod. Before you go into all the reasons I shouldn't do this my mind is already made up. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion on the easiest, lightest, and most cost effective way of doing it is?

I've thought for quite awhile a Scout with a TBSS AWD powertrain and drivetrain swap would be super neat. Not much of a suggestion, but I'm with you on your idea. Start a build thread when you get underway.

I would go with a mustang II beam and components from someone like Heidts or Total Cost Involved. Just saw one today on a 58' Chevy truck, really clean setup.

How extreme are you wanting your build to be?

What is the wheel base of the Scout? Reason I ask is because of the popularity of frame swaps. Like the S10 frame swap. Just a suggestion.

I think it's a great idea. I drive by one every day in hopes to see a for sale sign, no luck yet, haha.
Like SLC mentioned a frame swap may be the easiest and most cost effective route to go. Also like SLC asked wheelbase would help find a decent donor.

I think you should at least post up some pics of this bad boy
