Default Organized Street Races

Once a month during the spring, summer, and early fall, a town about 30 miles away blocks off a road, preps it, and lets anyone with a "street legal" car or truck do some racing. Took my truck there last weekend and did one test pass and two races. Ran against a guy in a rcsb step side that had a 418ci ls3 and a decent shot of spray. He was sleeping so I put about a car on him out of the hole, he nearly caught me but not quite. Race #2 was against a second gen Camaro. Car sounded pretty nasty but I drug him. He got me by about half a car to the 330 then I walked away from him. Dunno what he had in it, but I talked to him afterwards and he said the best he'd run in a 1/4 mile on the timers was 12.2. So he couldn't have had too much really. The length of the track is about 600', couldn't be longer because the shutdown is borderline dangerous for the faster cars there.

Sounds like fun! Ask dirttrackracer for a street pass. He might be in your area.

Tyler Scruggs? I bought my 80e crossmember from him. From what I've seen, I don't really think I want to try him lol
