why don't you just save money an get the conversion box? its plug an play... Also l92 is not out of the camero. They came out of SUV and trucks.

already having the motor apart, going with a different crank is cheaper than $250. like mentioned, if I had the entire motor still assembled the box would be the way to go. but I have the pistons out of. previous guy pulled them for inspection for proof which is nice, but i would’ve liked to get it as a assembled shortblock. But I can’t complain based on what I paid for it

it’s an option. I plan to have the block sent to my local guy to rebuild. Just planning to clean up the pistons, new rings, new bearings, then assemble with 24x crank then prepare for top end. Probably going to end up with 823’s and touch up the exhaust side and be about it. Truck intake and a healthy cam that’ll go well with a 3500 range stall which truck has now.
