Default 6.2 RCSB Thread

Looking to throw my 6.2 into my 06 single cab. For some motivation post up your setups. I'll have to check block # but I believe it was a L92 to start. Stock rebuild (higher mileage) and a decent cam. It will be paired with the current exhaust on my truck which is 1 7/8 long tubes and dual 3" exhaust. I would like to send shortblock off within this month for a cleaning. Tossing around the idea also of ported 243/799 vs stock 823's. Looking to dive into 12's while being a daily, maybe even 11's someday. Let's see some builds!

What is the reason for head change.they will work in stock form the 243 heads flow about 265cfm and the square port heads flow right at 300cfm but as I said in stock form you will benefit in low and mid range power.

only block, rods and pistons. i’m going to convert the motor to gen 3 with reluctor wheel, cam sensor, knock sensor and run it off my current 06 harness and pcm. then throw my accessories from 5.3 onto the 6.2

Gotcha it might be cheaper to get a whole crank summit sales them for roughly $300 same stroke as 5.3,6.0 just have the rotating assembly balanced
