I think they are pretty good in the 14bolts.

Alright well the truck is out if my hands now. Dropped it off to Don at slowhawk today. And if I do say so myself Im pretty proud, he didnt have any complaints about my setup, a guy who builds these things for a living

Well the only issues he had were out of my control, he said no 3rd gear pulls cause my driveshaft and tires will explode basically

Which leads me to wonder is a duramax driveshaft beefier?

Oh and he said my 500 rwhp goal isnt gonna happen, 500 at the flywheel yes but the tires and the driveshaft are why I guess so that was a little disappointing....

is that because doing a 2 gear pull will give different results or just your setup wont produce that much?

why is 500whp not going to happen? a 6.0 with a 74mm charger should have no issue getting 500 to the tires

I would agree you should have no problem getting the 500.

Well thats what I thought, 500 from a 6.0 and 76mm not a hard goal, but most people dont have trucks like I do on here, most are 2wd with much shorter tires. Ive got 33s. Don is also convinced my driveshaft wont take a 3rd gear pull, itll reach critical speed and kaboom right in half. Also he said my tires wont like going over 100 mph, weird **** will start to happen

i think he's right about your drive shaft my brother inlaw blew one in his 08 RCSB @ 130mph can say about your tires but you can look up the speed rating should be on the sidewall, I hope he's wrong about your HP numbers i'm shooting for 500+ rwhp and my combo is really close to yours

how much boost you running?

I've been reading guys with heads and cam lq4's making 400+ wrhp I would think a turbo engine should make 500rwhp easy, this truck i got last owner with the rear mount home made el cheep'o setup made 504rwhp @ 11psi and 559rwhp @ 15psi, If I dont make 500+ im going to be really disappointed

He is playing it safe...every 76mm turbo is not made the same...main difference being turbine size. I agree with him though, no third gear pulls, which also means you dont need to be going 120+ until you get some driveshaft work. The tires also rob a ton of power.

Yeah stoker87, your engine setup might be very similar but the truck youre putting it in a truck that it should be in. A lighter 2wd truck with smaller lighter tires so I wouldnt worry about it.

Yeah Don was actually asking me today about the wastegate springs and how it was only making 4 lbs but thats sorted out. Anyways hes aiming for 8-10 lbs

My plan is to let him tune it and just drive it. When summer comes around Im going get it turned up after I get a new driveshaft and a boost controller
