not sure if I missed it but what year is your truck? since it only has 38K I'm assuming 2010+. is it flex fuel? who did the tune? A 150 shot would probably be the max on a stock bottom end engine. and you WILL need a built trans to handle the abuse. you can also get away with using a 26-2800 stall with anything under 220. I'm about to through in a 224/230 on a 114LSA and just ordered a Circle-d 4C (3600-3700) stall. It all depends on what your ultimate goals are for your truck. is it your DD or just a weekend warrior? do you have to tow with it. all these things factor in to your build.
hope this helps.

im pretty sure you can spray more than a 150 shot on a stock bottom end, you could actually spray a 125 shot on stock timing. besides, the bottom ends of these motors are stout, one can normally handle upwards of 10lbs of boost easy and a 200 shot is about the equivalent to 8 psi. buy a nitrous kit and spray a 100 shot all day long.

It's a 2001 model weekend warrior and maybe 100 miles a week if that. And no towing I would build the trans. I just want to know a good cam. Lifters springs and pishrod setup. Since I will have it torn down might as well do it good and do it all since im in there and 100 shot sounds sweet

cam...you can't change lifters with out pulling the heads. and you might as well upgrade if you go that route

Well Texas speed has a 224 cam. With hardened pushrods and springs. I'll go ahead and get ls7 Lifters. Would this be a good setup!?

the ls7 lifters have a slightly higher bucket than stock. you may need 7.350 pushrods.
