our trucks should be very similar erik. except the drivetrain. which i think will be a challenge as well for me.
the transmission had always been the limitation on the awd trucks. i think with a built 80e the other weak spots will show. im just hoping the front diff can hold because there isnt much i can do to add stregnth there.
my goals are a bit high but hopefully attainable, 1000awhp and 10's with ease. low 10's would be awesome and maybe for ***** and giggles ill put it on a diet and see what happens.

On the other hand, the guy that bought my AWD transfer case did it so he had spares That's an alternate route.
Lemme tell ya... 1000AWHP is going to be easy with your build. 10's will still be fun to go after as traction will still be a challenge with that power with the AWD. You will likely be in the 1100 to 1200 ft/lb range -- woooooooooooooooo

yeah lets hope the case can stay together . i have also thought of going to the 4wd case with selectable drives. that way i can do burnouts as well. my cam specs look very similar to yours too erik. im sure i will be talking with you a bunch on this setup.
the old setup is actually still in the truck . the motor is being pulled in the next couple of weeks , the head gaskets need to be replaced and hopefully that is all, which i think it is since it runs fine. just trying to find a buyer for everything nitrous/engine/blower/trans.

these rods are rated @ 1250 hp and are pretty lightweight so im sure they will work just fine.
usually the next best rod from here is an aluminum i beam rod which are in the 2000 hp range but are also in the 3k price range and have a limited life of about 50 passes before they need to be checked and or replaced .
im sure there are more pros' and cons but when researching rods this is what i came up with .

Very nice. Going to certainly get you into the 10's and possibly the top SSS spot on the list. I would still consider finding a frame setup from an 8600GVWR truck. I've found the whole trucks used for 3k or less on occasion as old work trucks. That would let you use a selectable and stronger transfercase that fully locks, a 4L80E would be a bolt in, the 9.25" front diff would bolt in for an option to an E-Locker, and a 9.5" 14 bolt rear diff. You could sell your 65E, transfercase, 4.10 gear diff's, and frame to make up for the cost. A selectable transfercase that will fully lock will be a big gain alone. Being able to heat some slicks or drag radials fully will help the rear tires alot in hooking especially since they get the most of the weight transfer.
