2016 5.3 rcsb, supercharge or swap 6.2
Ive got a '16 silverado reg cab, with 5.3 motor. Was looking to get more power. Trying to determine which way would be better.. Swap my 5.3 for an 6.2 gen V or get a whipple on my 5.3 ?? Also consider cost to horsepower gains.

You would need a Gen V motor so an LS3 wouldn't work in your truck....for a direct swap you need an LT1 or an L86....considering you could sell your current 5.3 to offset the cost of a used 6.2 it would def prob be ~$2k+ cheaper vs a blower...that being said you will also make more power and torque with the blown 5.3 and it will be less work installing the blower vs swapping the motor...what are your goals and budget?

Yeah like he said you couldn't swap in an LS3 as that is an older generation engine that is not compatible with your year truck.
It would have to be a 6.2 from another truck or the 6.2 from camaro/corvette but the truck would be a easier swap parts wise.
Nothing will give you that instant torque like a whipple though. I'd go with a supercharger over an engine swap. Be it a TVS 1900/2300 or whipple.
