Default 2009...er 10 project

All my plans for 2009

To start i am rebuilding a 2007 LY6 6.0 Long block that i got for $350 It had a bent rod do to water, but was driven into the dealer and replaced.

I checked the block out, and did some thinking of what i wanted to do.

The Plan: Replace the bent rod and piston, all rings, all bearings, gaskets, hone the block, polish the 823 casting L92 heads (they had alot of carbon build up so i am just going to try to prevent it) Cam and WALLA, sound easy enough?

Here is what is done so far.

Block is honed, and clean and painted

Number 7 cleaned up good, but still a little evidence :/

Need rings, main and cam bearings then the short block can be assembled.

So stay tuned for my Gen III to Gen IV swap

Oh and i have a tru-trac and 4.10's going in tomorrow

I figure there are going to be a few people thinking that haha...its not in my budget haha. But it was orange or black. They didn't have the black i wanted so now its history.

Also i am putting all the stuff together now for the gear swap.
