Got the 315s on

I installed glassworks unlimited fiberglass fenders on my truck

I got stickers made for my truck and i also put on the 1.5" wheel spacers so the tires dont look too skinny for the fenders...

I got the truck back from regearing yesterday. I tuned the truck today with the superchips cortex programmer. I gotta say the truck is freakin fast now! I raced my buddy's 07 classic 4x4 crew cab silverado with a 5.3L with programmer, 4:56s, 33" tires and i beat him 3 out of 5 times...not bad for a 4.8L with a programmer, longtube headers, 4:56s, and 35" tires...

its what you do with new parts in general...

To start with, who ever installed your gears should have told you that there is a break in process. Drive it once or twice for 15 miles or less and let it cool down, then after that you go easy on the throttle for the first 500 miles. (thats a rule of thumb, i personally only go about 150 miles before i start WOT) THEN most importantly you CHANGE THE FLUID after the first 500 miles and get all of the metal out of there.

If your gears were set up right, as in backlash is 7 or 8, you will probably be fine.

just a FYI, you should drive the truck in 4 hi for a total of like say 5 miles maybe at an easy pace and like 1 mile in 4lo before hot roddin it in 4wd.

Its been probably 200 miles since i got the gears installed...i drove about 20 miles, stopped the truck at my cousin's house, drove it another 20 miles and let it sit for a few hours, then drove it home...i wasnt womping on it, just driving normally. I plan on changing the fluid next weekend
