Default 2001 Sierra RCSB Turbo LS2 build

I started this build about 3 months ago and can't wait to get it out on the road. My goal is to make 1000 rwhp with overdrive and air conditioning. I bought the truck as a roller and started from there. We built a LS2 using a Manley crank and rods and custom cut J&E pistons. The comp is about 9.5:1. Crower spec'd out a cam and topped the valve train with a set of WCCH L92s with his stage 3 cnc job. I then bought the Holley Hi Ram intake with a FAST 102 mm throttle body. For the tranny, I bought a 4l80e from a 05 2500 and bought a billet input shaft, hardened forward clutch drum and billet intermediate shaft and also a Rossler transbrake. Circle D is sending me a multi disc billet converter to stall about 3400ish.

Here are some pics of the truck when I got it. I pulled the bed off right when I got it to get a roll pan welded in and the gas door, stack pockets and shave the tailgate. Also widening the factory wheel wells.

Now we have pulled the whole rear out and started on the new 9" rear end and the 4 link suspension. I am converting the truck from 6 lug to 5x4.75 for better wheel selection. I bought a set of Billet Specialities Street Lite wheels in 15x12 with a 3.5 bs and put a set of 315/60/15 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials on it. Still need to do the front hubs and get my front wheels on. I ordered a set og Strange 35 spline axles that should be here Friday. I get more pics up as I get futher along.

Getting a little closer on the rear. Still have quite a few bars to add in and brace up. Going to try and not have to put a cage in it but I am sure its going to have to be done if I do go to a track somewhere?? Strange sent my axles I had them make. They are 35 spline with 5/8 studs. Will have this thing rolling pretty quick.

Well I guess my build is pretty boring but finally got it back as a roller. Now coming back apart to paint and powdercoat. Hopefully it will be more interesting once I get the engine and tranny slid into it.

How much do you have invested in the rear suspension. I like the way the rear looks with those fat meats on there and cant wait for the rest of it.

Got the engine stuffed in and still have a bunch of crap to do as far as wiring and all that and got the rear stuff back from the powder coater and painted the frame and threw it together. Got the third member put together and stuffed in the housing. It is a strange bolt-through aluminum case with a 10 bolt pinion support, 35 spline Detroit Locker and 3.70 Richmond gears. All is coming together pretty good and ready to get the tranny in it in the next day or so.

And by the way, I pulled the brackets back off and having them and the valves covers and intake all coated to match.

I also put my caddy cluster in with the white face. I think it looks pretty good.
