JL Audio 10w3s will hit louder than most any 12 out there. People think I'm hiding 15s in my truck.

i agree 100% on this. but the two skar 8s i have right now are real nice. i actually like them better than the last 12 i had. but next time i upgrade i will most likely going back to a single 12 just better quality than my last.

Those are the subs I'm running. They sound pretty good but I still like the sound of a 12

Nice how loud are they? How many watts you throwing at them? i wonder how much the sound deadning is going to cost to do the trucl. And how my amps will mount on the back? Not sure how folks do it. Next is getting my XM radio installed a long with the componets and some hids : ) And more pics after a bath! 500 mile trip here we come going to take a ride in the chevy.

10w3 are good subs but i dont believe that there louder than a properly built box for a 12. but ive heard the stealth boxs that jl have and they are extremely nice.

wish i could help with the sound deadining but ive never done it. but i have been wanting to. so let us know how much it cost you to do it.

Did a little work on the truck yesterday all the stockers moldings are off : ) Just time to get the glue off and a nice detail clay bar job for the car show this month in irvine. I am about to order a spintech 9000 series and a qtp cut out. Do you guys suggest putting the cut outs pre cat or after the cats? Thanks very much need to order soon. Also are the pipes on this truck 3 inch or 3 and a half anyone know?

slightly smaller than 3" stock.

Tough call on the cutout because on a stock HD exhaust the Y doesn't happen until after the muffler towards the back of the exhaust system. You might be better off setting them up after the pre cats but you'll need 2.

Put two cutouts before the muffler, is yours ran like stock? Also I believe the stock HD piping is 2 7/8 but will flow plenty until you get more serious mods like heads and cam.
