Default 2000 rcsb w/t......2005 6.0-4l80e swap?

Well I have a 2000 silverado 2wd work truck with a 4.8 4l60e.I came across a deal on a 2005 6.0,4l80e,full harness, computer & accessories.I drive the truck daily and was wondering what the best plan of attack would be to get the motor and Trans in my truck?I will be pulling my motor within the next 2-3 weeks.im trying to get a general idea on if there's something I'm missing?from my research I've gathered mixed reviews which leads me to asking those who know.would it be best to change my harness with the one that came from the 05 that's ready for the 4l80e & use the computer out of the 05?Will the truck run and function like stock on the 05 computer?

From what I understand, its a direct swap. Meaning you can reuse all the wiring you have now, intake, throttle body, etc. I guess you could go threw the trouble of swapping all the wiring out but I don't see why. Why not just get a tune and be done with it? I duno, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure all you'd need is a tune which seems less of a hassle than swapping all the wiring.

After looking some more i found out that the motor and Trans is out of a van.i don't think things are in the same place with the wiring so I'm sticking with my harness that's in the truck.i know there's some wiring I'm going to have to do for the 80e, is the drive shaft going to have to be shortened?

I forgot to mention i did swap the white wire in the harnes and added the other speed sensor in and taped off the brown one for the 80e while everthing was out.i used the original speed sensor wire that was on the harness that came out of the van the motor and trans came from.i used this guide (sorry i cant remember who posted it but it was posted on another thread here on pt,thanks for the info and if you see this please post a reply to take recognition)
