Other than the size difference do they physically mount fine?

Curious if it doesn’t matter or they are just updated.

Everything mounts the same. But the brake lines don’t match up and bending 34 year old brake lines seems like a bad idea.

Maybe add some brake lines to your shopping cart

Buy some from O’Reilly or Summit (if they have them) and see if they fit the same or fit the new parts. If not return everything

Mocked it up anyways and I can easily bend the lines to fit. With some luck, I should be driving this thing out of the garage this weekend.

New shoes, new hardware, new master, new booster, new wheel cylinders, bench bled the master. Tomorrow I’ll bleed the brakes and see if it drives

Topped the power steering fluid off and went for a drive. All the noise from the pump stopped so I’m calling it good. This thing really does drive smooth and nice. Headlights suck though. Forgot how bad 1989 headlights were. Needs a blinker module as the lights turn on but they don’t flash. Steering has about 4” of slop but not surprising considering everything is original.

What’s the easiest way to bleed the clutch? Need to get that done. Going to buy all the fluids for everything tomorrow once pay day happens.

Front, rear, transfer, and transmission fluids changed. And I came out this morning to see two puddles of coolant on the ground directly under the radiator. Guess that’s next on the list to be replaced. Eventually I’ll have enough money for tires and can get to driving it daily.

Tires bought. Discount was doing 5% off over $599 and 6mo 0% when using their card. Nothing fancy. Just some pathfinder all terrains in 31x10.50x15.
