It hasn’t been to bad. Down time has been spent pondering my next move with this truck and laying out the stereo. And Forza.

Subs and amps arrived along with their respective power kits. Also bought some more 0 gauge cables to redo the power and ground cables on the truck as well as a quick connect for the winch in 0 gauge instead of the measly 4 gauge that's on it. Was looking around and there is only one ground on the whole dang truck and that's a 4ga from battery to the frame. Going to upgrade that one to 0ga and add one from batt to body, another from batt to engine, and then engine to body. Also going to upgrade the main power wire going to the starter from 4ga to 0ga as well as the wiring going to the distro block for the cab from the starter.

I'll have an 0ga going to a distro block and then 4ga from there to the amps (one for speakers and one for sub) and then 4ga grounds from the amps to the body. This isn't the best system I've ever pieced together but it's better than nothing.

I don't currently have any electrical issues but with nearly 2000w of amp getting installed I'd prefer to head it off if I can. Now I gotta start looking for a higher amp alternator.

Went to replace the leads on my winch and found this.

Now I’m contemplating if it’s even worth it or trash it and buy a new winch.

Whoa, a classic Warn winch with patina is worth a lot!

Does it work? I've been using the 12k harbour freight winch a bunch, never realized how handy they are.

Yes but I’ve yet to use it under a load of any kind. I’m going to get it pulled off and torn down today and see what I see and go from there. I can wiggle the terminals that are going into the housing. I don’t even know if I can unscrew the cables everything is so corroded.

Get out the creep oil and start soaking stuff, I hate projects like that.

Same. Don’t know why I thought it’d be a simple project haha. For $350, it’s hard not to consider buying a badlands. Maybe I buy one of those and mount it up front and then rebuild the other and mount it on the rear.
