It was an absolute blast. I’m so proud and happy. This last year of hell paid off this weekend. I’m feverishly trying to scrape up pennies to get gears and lockers and then this thing should be unstoppable. I need to go back through the suspension again and check bolt torque and make sure that’s good as I know something loosened up after all that. Also gotta trim fenders, redo transmission lines and install a better cooler, rebuild the front driveshaft (u-joints and slip shaft are sloppy), and my co-pilot said to adjust the passenger door so you don’t have to kick it open haha.

LOL kick it open.

You have any plans for different bumpers to get a little extra approach angle out of it?

I do but they are low on the list. I’d like to get the winch mounted lower and closer but that’s some serious work right. I’d be cutting out the core support and front grille and doing lots of reinforcing. I haven’t had an issue dragging bumpers yet so I’m not to worried. That’s the nice thing about being so big haha.

Compared to the smaller jeeps in the group it looks like it just lumbers along not bothered by anything in its path. Also it looked hot in the pictures I'd almost say AC over gears and lockers haha.

It’s definitely a brute force rig and not a finesse one. Which matches my personality quite well haha.

And trust me when I say it was hot and I was seriously contemplating AC over gears but in the end gears win because more useful. I’ll hook up a 12v fan next time I go haha. Damn hurricane pushed the temps up to 97* when all week they were low 80’s and today we’ve got two cold front coming dropping us down into the 70’s and 50’s.

I guess AC wouldn't be as effective with tube doors anyway. It's been smoking hot here as usual as well, the news said the humidity was at "instant sweat level". I was trying to do some fabricating yesterday and my welding jacket was drenched.

ATF might help get some of that over-sprayed paint off your floor.
