Default 1962 C-10 bagged project

I'm new to the forum and anxious to see/share info and projects. My current project is a 62 C-10 fleetside. The plans are for this to become my daily driver. A fabricated frame on bags with tubular A-arms front suspension with a manual rack and adjustable 4 link rear with a short side narrow on a 8.8 rear. Motor plated stock 5.3/4l60 for drive train.

cool deal. Do you plan on gussets for the upper/lower arms?

Not sure what you mean?

I incorporated the bag mount and the upper A-arm mount as one. It has a solid 1" round stock welded between them and is bolted down with two 5/8-16 bolts to a 1/2 plate welded to the frame. The entire mount is made from 1/4 plate and 6" wide. ( after market is typically 3/16 and nowhere near the width or the material)

The lower Arms are again a solid 1" round stock 9" long going through the cross member (.120wall) and then has an added 1/4 plate weld to and around the out side of the cross member. Im not worried about the 1" overhang that is backed by 1/2" and only 9"long.

The bars alone are 1'x.156 wall direct tap 3/4 tube and the ball joint plates 1/4" and there only 10" from center of balljoint to the center of mount. I just didn't feel the need with the larger plate and the length being so short.

My frame is 30" wide and I am 58" wide hub to hub which I think is far shorter than stock.

But to be perfectly honest, I think the lower a-arm would have looked much better with a wider flat 1/4 inch plate instead of the bar stock I used.
