You're okay to re-use those bolts, and the rod bolts.

Build is looking good! Sorry if you already answered this but where did you get the painted tail gate handle or did you paint it yourself? I have been trying to find one for a while.

I love the way it sounds. Not too loud at idle or while cruising. Sounds really mean under throttle though.

Had Pat G to spec me a cam. 222/230 .597”/.609” 113 LSA +2 advance. Now slowly accumulating parts. I need to find some heads!

Are the marine blocks for the lq's thicker than a regular one like the old 454's were? Never really heard anything about them.

Nope, it's the exact same block as one you would get out of a truck.
