We just got back last night. We had a blast, we did some rafting, hiking and camping throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Here are the pics!
Here is our first hike in the Snowy Mountain range in Wyoming. I believe it was at ~10.5k ft, so going from 650ft to 10.5k was a little difficult. Can you believe all the snow?

Next up was rafting on the Platte(sp) River, it was pretty fun, rather slow moving but it was OK.. Check out the Bald Eagle shot!

Next up was some more hiking in the Snowy Mountains.

Ok my wife wanted to climb a 14k mountain, so we drove to Mount Evans and started to climb. Hiking at that altitude was rather difficult, we got tire FAST, we had to take ALOT of breaks..
Here is where we started, i think our starting point was at 12 or 13k.. Whatever it was it took us 2 hours... My wifes father came with us, he did awesome for some who is 64 years old.

half way up, see the road down there, that is where we started..

some crazy mountain goats that were at the top when we got there...

Holy **** I am so jealous! I love colorado and all the western states! That is GODS COUNTRY!
I've been to Colorado once, we went for new years to a ski resort (Crested Butte) and it was too damn cold! Nothing to do but ski. It was still great though, the scenery is unbelievable!
I would love to go and do all that, my freakin dream!
For now all i can do is read about that country in Louis Lamour books lol

ya we had a blast, but i will say this, i am freaking tired... i bet we hiked about 15miles at 10.5k or greater in 5 days... since my wife's family is from colorado we usually end up going twice a year. Once in the winter and once in the summer, plus we never really have to pay for a place to stay. this time we did stay at a Bed-n-Breakfast for our anniversary. The B&B was pretty cool, it was right on a river so we opened the windows at night and listened to the river flow, very relaxing.
Oh and NO i did not take the truck, my wife drove her honda up a weeks prior., we mostly drove around in her fathers jeep cheroke which was pretty decent, plus it got like 24-26mpg.
