Default What do I need to run nitrous safely?

I've got a 2008 F150 with a supercharged 5.4 running 10 pounds of boost. I'm in the process of putting together a kit to run a 50 shot to cool the intake charge a little bit.

I'm new to nitrous, so I'm trying to figure out what safety pieces are vital?

I'm 99% sure I'm going to get a dedicated fuel system where I can flip a switch and run race gas when I'm spraying. Other than that, I'm lost when it comes to window switches and all the other stuff.

Thanks for the help.

Tommy

a dedicated high octane boost would be sweet, I use methanol for that end.

Not really sure what you can do about your tune or whether or not you'll need to pull timing, maybe not with the race fuel.

Call nitrous Dave, Nitrous Outlet -------------------> Monday morning, they were very helpful to me when I was looking for a kit.

you can get a window switch, and a wot switch. some people use a fuel pressure safety switch. or you could get a hsw microedge. it does all of the above, and has a few more safety features built in. i use a microedge and love it.

harris speedworks sell the microedge>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

thanks for the help.....microedge looks like a good deal for the money, I'm more than likely going to go that route.

What kind of times are you running? This is the first boosted ford besides lightning I've heard about.
