I hook to the TPS wire on every install I do. The key is a good clean connection.

Is there a way to read TP comanded and TP actual?? I know the mefi/egc motors can display it. Ive never played with the truck stuff... It could help rule out a couple things.

Commanded is determined by the pedal position and throttle response tables. You can log pedal position and throttle position. If they do not agree within a given %, a fault will be triggered. Some poorly designed electronics can mess up the TPS signal if tapped into it.
