Is Dr. X the only throttle body adapter that works on our trucks? Do the adapters sold on Summit work or do they not open 100%?

When I had mine on it would command my throttle body to open more than 100% and would put it into R.E.P mode..(thouroughly trouble shooted) I put the speartech harness/tac module back in and no more problems..
-PM dr.X....he is very helpful....

No biggie dave, I have had no reduced engine power at all... and if it was losing tps i think the controller shuts off at 85% so if it goes down that far i would lose the kit, But if i was losing about 10% of the throttle you would definately get a fade on the power. I was just curious about anyone having issues with it

And its an 85mm 4 bolt tbss tb

What he said. I have heard nothing but bad reports about the truck TB...most guys goto the Vette one and their issues with the blade getting sucked shut goes away...wonder if there is a spring we could upgrade in the truck TB, would save a,lot of us isses.

If the blade was not at WOT when the pedal was, a fault would be triggered and your throttle would shut down completely requiring a restart.

I do not recommend tapping into the TPS signal for triggers. Use the PPS signal instead - dark blue wire on the 10 pin connector at the TAC module.

Set it up the same?? Will my controller communicate with that wire? And is it a rising or a falling signal (the pps wire)... I'm tapped off of the tps wire currently

This doesn't really sound like your issue or you would be triggering REP mode. But others have had problems tapping into the TPS signal. Tapping into the APPS signal resolved those issues.

Sorry I can't access the 06/07 wiring diagrams right now. Up to 05 it was the dark blue and light blue wires at the TAC module- both rising signals - seems to me that the dark blue was a similar range to the TPS. In 06 they went to triple pedal position sensor signals. So you would have to test to confirm which signal best suits your needs in terms of direction and range.
