Default Timing for a kill tonight....

question: i am running about 24 degrees of timing at WOT, and i have a 100 shot dry. i have been trying to get this tune dialed in since the headers/cat delete..and its close, but i need to spray this car that has been picking on me.

is 24* too much for the 100 shot, or will it be fine? the motor is running pretty good n/a, but i dont have the gearing to beat him n/a....and i want to embarass him....so i really need to spray.

thanks for input guys.

I am running 26* timing which would be good for at least 150rwhp on my setup. I think you wuold be fine adding a couple degrees since you're a dry shot and it will throw more fuel in when the nitrous hits. But to be honest, a few degrees isn't gonig to help that much, you would see bigger gains pulling all the weight you can.

i cant really pull any weight, we are supposed to race after work tonight and he wants to go from a dig. i cant really get weight off except for the tailgate and spare...but then i dont hook. 3.23's and open diff.

everybody at work is giving this dude hell and has him wound up right now about losing to me... he wants to put $50 on it.... i said lets do $100.. he doesnt sound confident. its just a 300c with intake / exhaust....probably a low 14 second car.

he has spanked me a few times n/a, but that was before the cam, headers, and duals with the dyno tune.

i should eat his ***, but you never know.

well, we ran last night, and he wanted it from a 15 punch.... WOW!

it was terrible, i pulled him about 2 lengths on the jump, then tried to hit the spray and my truck started busting up, so i turned the spray off quickly, and stayed in the gas.

i ended up spanking that 300c by 5-6 lengths, and he gave up halfway through second gear.... he called me later and said he wasnt ready and i jumped too soon.. bla bla bla.... he was about to cry. i told him yesterday that he would be full of excuses after i whooped that ***.

i dont know if the nitrous could have frozen my MAF or what, it was very cold out last night, and i dont have a bottle heater....but it started busting up as soon as i sprayed it.

i mean it sounded like it was missing, stuttering..... not a sexy sound. like it wasnt getting enough fuel or something when i hit the spray. my dyno tuner was having problems with this when we were tuning, but he got the AFR around 12.8 or so, so i thought it would be safe to spray. like i said earlier, timing is around 24* at WOT....i dont understand why its doing this? it never did it before, we put headers, true duals with x pipe, and removed the cats...then to the dyno ( all at the same shop ) in the same day.

it has never missed before, and i sprayed it for weeks before this, never had a problem. was using a handheld predator before, had a cam, CAI intake, and 2.5" exhaust with juice. i cant understand why its doing this junk, but i need that spray to beat real cars!
