Spraying Pro Flo?
#1
Anyone spraying a Edelbrock Pro Flo Intake?
Want to install a plate kit, but all I read about is that a Plate kit in not good for that intake because of the 90* and direct port is the only way. Will be only using up to a 100 shot.

You can't run a plate. You have to do dp, it's because of the short runners. They don't give enough time for the gas and fuel to mix and which ever cylinder is getting ready to fire when you hit it will get most of the dope and gas. This will cause a back fire which will pop a motor real quick.
It happened to a friend of mine.

Take a look here. Should pretty much answer your question.

This is who I was talking about.
Jon ran the pro flo with a plate. It did not work. I had the pro flo on my truck for a while, and I switched to another intake so I could spray.. If you go DP it will be fine, but as far as a plate I personally wouldn't do it. I believe Jon was spraying a 175 shot when he ran into this issue.
