Default Spraying in between shifts

I will be spraying a 100 shot in my truck. I bought my nitrous kit and it came with a digital controller, but i dont really trust one of those. Is it ok to shift inbetween shifts or will i kill my tranny right away. BTW i will be buying a local JR built tranny.

The tranny should be fine but you never know the brightest candle doesnt always shine the longest. Most digital controlers give you the ability to set a shutoff point for the nitrous, set it to 2 to 3 hundred below your tranny shift point and help it live. Im spraying 150 off the line and 100 more in second gear that way. Hope that helps

I guess that depends on how well your trans is built. I run boosted and a small shot on top of that all thru the shifts, so far, so good.

Me too. Stock trans, shift kit, and servos in a 6200# sled.

Thanks guys, the guy im getting the tranny is very reputable. My buddy has been running 10's for 2-3 years and has not had a single problem with his tranny.

I'm holding you to that when I spray this camaro over the weekend with the 150 shot. You ready to build me another tranny for the car?

I have my nitrous cut off 200 RPM before it shifts. I'm running 11's on the stock tranny and it's not slipping yet. "knocks on wood"

so many conflicting stories on this issue...some say don't spray through the shifts cuz it will burn them up faster and some say spray through the shift because shutting the n20 off and on like that is to much of a shock on the tranny...i don't know what to think anymore
