Default Nozzle Placement??

I installed a dry kit on my truck, First I had the nozzle at the very end of my Cone air filter, It has a cold air intake. I ran the truck a couple of times and the A/F was reading 13.2 but when I ran the truck N/A the A/F was 10.8 so I moved the nozzle closer about 3in away from the mass air and now it went to 14.3. where should the nozzle be? Anyone out there have any pics of where they placed theirs. Thanks any help would be great.

Generally on a dry kit, it should be in the end of the filter. WOT afr on juice should be ideally in the mid 11's to high 11's and on all motor it should be mid 12's to low 13's

did it jump straight to 14.3 afr, or did it gradually lean out? you may be running out of fuel somewhere. do you have a fuel pressure guage?

No I dont, but that will be next thing, I just put a 255 pump in it. I was told that the placement of the nozzle is very important

I used the Harris Speed Works Interface controller with my set up. Great product. And I don't have to adjust the nozzle's placement to control fueling.

so generally on a dry kit, it is best to mount the nozzle before the maf? or after? on a stock vortec 5.7. i used to have the nozzle after the maf but was told to move it before the maf
