Thanks for all the info. I ended up buying a LS1. Adding Mahle Pistons, AMS forged rods, Race bearings. 2.055/1.60 Stage III partiot heads. Motor is almost done and should be in in a few weeks.

JE can make you some custom pistons and they are a bit over 600 I believe. I can get a good price for you on them if you are interested.
