Default knock sensor pulling timing for nitrous

on a older 5.7 vortec if i was spraying nitrous and the engine started to ping from not pulling timing from the tune would the knock sensor kick in and pull the timing for me ??

If you don't melt a piston and blow it up first... Possibly. Tune it or get something that will pull timing properly.

lol thats what i figured .hey do you know of a nitous timing retard that will work with my engine ? i seen one from harris but it only list back to the lt1, ls1 , ect.... it works threw the iat sensor ?

I was going to suggest the one for the IAT sensor but not sure where your sensor is, if you have one, or how it works.
Someone should chime in that knows.

yes i have the iat . there is the filter , iat , mass air , throttle body .in that order .

wasn't sure if yours was on the tube or the intake manifold itself. May be a way to do it. If not there should be a timing tuner for it.
