i agree with that, just throwing a signal back into that wire could freak the computer out

Pink is constant 12V. The injector drivers control the ground for each injector, so that is where you will pick up your pulse from.
The controller should provide some kind of input buffer to isolate the TPS signal. Even then, I have found issues with the E38 ECM if whatever is connected to the TPS wiring is powered down before the throttle control system is. In that case it can ground the TPS signal. On E38 the TAC system remains powered for a while after key off. So REP will be waiting for you at next key on.

I think the tps signal is the blue wire, been awhile since I have tapped into mine... can verify with a volt meter pretty easy and actuating the tb. I grab a tac signal from the main coil connector on the passenger side that the coil harness connects to the main harness at. Top row second wire from the left I believe.
