GMT 900 RPM and TPS signal

I think the tps signal is the blue wire, been awhile since I have tapped into mine... can verify with a volt meter pretty easy and actuating the tb. I grab a tac signal from the main coil connector on the passenger side that the coil harness connects to the main harness at. Top row second wire from the left I believe.

The problem we have is that REP mode occurs whenever we are tapped, take out the tap, REP goes away.
This didn't happen on my truck, with virtually same tap location.

TPS is the green or purple on the 900's, same as 800's. We successfully tapped both wires, and both provided signal, they'll read inverse of each other.
The problem we have is that REP mode occurs whenever we are tapped, take out the tap, REP goes away.
