Default Does "safe" N2O exsist?

In my sig you can see all the mods I currently have on my truck. I'm running a corrected ET of 9.8 in the 1/8th, which translates to a 15.0 in the 1/4. I'd like to get it faster for track use every once in awhile. Since I have HP tuners and do my own tuning would I be able to run 100hp wet shot , pull some timing and add a little fuel and be safe? If so what kit would you guys recomend, I am on a budget?

nitrous is very safe if you don't skimp on the safety devices (fuel pressure cutoff, WOT switch, window switch. I'm not a nitrous tuning expert, but with a wet shot you are allready adding a metered amount of fuel with the nitrous, just cut the timing back a hair and go with it

To answer your question.....yes, nitrous can be safely used without any damage to your truck. Fuel pressure switches, wide open switches, and window switches are all good devises that help avoid any damage.

As far as which kit.....I've had experiences with nx(my own personal kit), HSW kit(I installed one on a buddies truck), and dynotune(a buddy of mine is running some of their noids). All three of these are great choices in kits. I was really impressed with HSWs kits and how they came packaged ready to go. This kit took me the least amount of time to install and would recommend it to anyone getting into it for the first time.
I've been running my nx kit for what seems like forever and I've had zero problems out of it. It hits right the first time everytime.

Just go and purchase a set of ngk tr60 plugs and spray away.

For the record...I'm running 28 degrees of timing spraying a 150 shot with 93 octane. I've had zero problems other than the fact that I can't keep a 4l60e under the truck.

Cool, thanks for the pointers. I have been lookiing at the HSW kit. It seems to be well thought of on here and best of all for me the most budget oriented. At what rpm are you running 28 degrees of timing? I've added roughly 10 degree in the upper rpm regions but at little as 3-4 in the lower ones.

Can't remember off the top of my head(been a LONG time since its been logged). As soon as I get it back on its feet, I'll get a good log of it on the spray and let you know. I should have logged the damn thing when I had that other crappy tranny in it, but I was more worried about it making more than 5 passes down the 1320(which it didn't).

I also run a HSW kit... I love it and can completely agree with what slow says about them being easy to install. That was the first truck install I had ever done but it went well... I have already run a couple bottles through mine and I seem to be having the same problems as slow also... the 60E and rearend dont like N20
