Default 75 shot

Would I harm my motor with a 75 shot, Im in the market of getting a Nitrous kit want to put a 75 shot for when needed in the street. I dont know much but what would be better a wet or dry kit? Also my tranny only has the servos would i kill it right away? Five me you alls idea, I have full bolt ons, Cam/Stall will come this summer. I ran a 14.1 with bolt ons how much would a 75 help me out more or less.

No 75 won't hurt your motor, these motors can take 150 wet shot on stock fuel system. Definantly go wet shot. As for your tranny, don't spray through your shifts so it will last longer (this can be done by picking up a window switch or just wiring it up off the button). You are probably looking at a low 13 on a 75 shot, and maybe even a high 12 sec pass on a hundred.

75 shot wont harm you at all. I ran an 85 shot(calculated at engine) all the time and have had no problems yet, no excessive metal on the oil drain plug or anything. To quote Hank Hill "I change my oil every 3000 miles or whenever I'm bored".

I recently upgraded to a 100 shot(calculated at engine), have only sprayed 3 times with that at highway speeds, once at 30mph-55mph for fun.

Just be sure to have all the safety equipment such as a fuel pressure safety switch(FPSS), etc.

You can do the 75, but you'll be swapping over to the 100 shot in no time. These trucks will take 100 all day, and with a fuel pump, injectors, and tuning, they'll take double that.

with a stock cam and stall you can really have fun with nitrous and spraying out of the hole if you get a controller. Spraying right before your converter is out of its flash will extend your flash tremendously. Say you take a 100 shot. Spray 45% instantly, 45 shot and in 1.5 sec builds to 100%, 100shot. Your converter is only like a 1800 stock. Now it probably just flashed to atleast 2600 and you now have 100 horses already coming on. I think it was parished that said playing with this helped him hit like 13.1 on just bolts on and spray.

Dont be scared to get a 125 shot or so wet. IF you have access to a wideband and tuning. YOu could easily see low 13's on some slicks nad a 125 shot IMO.

thanks guys, what kit brands do you all recommend? as for tunning my tuner (rgvsierra) is doing hell of a job tunning my truck, I got 7 tenths of improvement over the old tune. I should be getting my nitrous within a month and hopefully see a mid to low 13 sec with a 75 or 100 shot.

You can expect at least a 7 tenth reduction in ET if not more dependant upon your 60'. Heck, I went from a 13.5 to a 12.0 on a 75 shot, but my 60' also dropped for a 2.0 to a 1.70.
