Default What's Up, fellow gearheads?

I'm new here. I'm probably older than most of you, @ 38 years I still love haulin' a$$. I got myself a new toy about a month ago; 1995 GMC 1500 Sierra, step side. So far I done the cold air w/K&N, Hypertech Power Charger 3" exhaust to a super 40. I ran true duals with 2.5" to Magnaflows, on my 79 GMC 2500 with lots of mods ran 14.72 @ 94.5 with a 4 speed. I hope to get there with the 95.. Gonna take alot of mods to get that 5.7 with smog heads deep into the 15's much less the 14 range.

I ordered a Jet stage 2 chip, Powerdyne TBI spacer, Injector Riser plate, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Detroit EZ Locker for the 8.5" 10 bolt, FlowTech Truck Headers with a super 4" Y-pipe which will dump into a dual in dual out 3" noise killer. I found that on the later trucks you get more torque w/ a single can.

I also plan on a Holley 670 cfm TBI w/ 2" Holes, a CraneCams truck cam, 1.6 roller rockers for more lift and last but not least L-31 Vortec heads punched to 2.02/1.6. With 3:73:1 rear gears, this combo should take a 5000 - 6000 lb truck easily into the 15's with street tires. Throw on some ET drag Radials or some MT cheaters and your in the mid 14's if you don't break the drive shaft or something else.

Anyway, nice talkin' to you guys. Let me know what you think, I post picture ASAP

Welcome to the site man, sounds like you got everything together. Just a suggestion, but if you still have time please cancel that order on the Jet chip and have a custom tuned chip made for your application and mods. That Jet chip is going to do little to nothing and a custom tune will make you wet yourself.
