Stage 2 4l60e or stock 4l80e
I have an 04 silverado with stage 2 cammed 5.3 but my transmission is slipping, I don't know if I should go for a stage 2 4l60 rebuild or just buy a 4l80 with low miles

Weight your options and how much money you want to spend.
Doing the 4L80e swap requires fab work, wiring, a new driveshaft and first gear will be way different than the 4L60e. If you have aggressive gears like 4.56's the first gear in the 4L80e won't be as bad with the lower power your 5.3 is putting out.
Probably best to just build up the 4L60e if you don't plan on going for bigger power later on.
