Not so new from South La.

Hello (again) ladies n gents! I've been registered here for about 6 years. I havent been on sice my birthday 2010, lol. Anyway, i bumped into an old friend last night, and he's got some work done to his truck and says he frequents this board a bit. So, here I am!
I have a 2011 ext. cab Silverado WT with a 4.8. The only performance mod I have is an AirRaid intake. I have a throttle body spacer, have not put it on yet. The rest of my mods are 24s, Pioneer H/u, Cadence components in front, 4 Sundown Audio 15" subs in the back. 3 Planet Audio amps to drive em all with a 2nd battery for the extra juice.
As far as what I want to do for performance.....for starters I want a more crisp throttle response. Its a slug from a stop. Even before the sound system. I dont feel like I am driving a V8. A local shop in Baton Rouge told me with an exhaust to go with the intake, and re-tune, I should notice a huge difference. I am hoping so. I havent decided as to what I will do on the exhaust yet. Not 100% sure if I will do a full, or cat-back. Either way, it most likely wont go past the axle, as next week I am going to purchase a drop kit and I dont think I want the exhaust piping coming out the rear of my truck. But, the performance is pretty much a blank canvas. I dont want to spend thousands on performance...yet.
So, any opinions or suggestions, let em rip, Im always open to new ideas! Glad to be back.....and back in a truck!

Welcome. First thing I would do is color match that front end to get rid of the 'work truck' vibe and lower it of coarse (at least 3" shackles on the back or something). The performance mods you mentioned will wake it up a lot. Good luck

Almost everyone says to color match, lol. I love the look of a color matched truck. Here's why I wont do it tho: My wheels fit, being black they go with the black front end, I plan on getting an undercover, which is also black, my new grille will be all black, and I plan on having the rear bumper done in black. I dont mind the WT look. Im just makin the WT look better, lol.
After next Saturday, I will just need to find a place to install my drop kit. Full McGhaughy setup.

Truck looks nice man! Theres one out here looks just like yours, he's rolling on some black boss wheels, and the only other diff, he doesnt have a bed cover, and his bowtie is outlined in white. For a second I thought you were him, lol.
I like the look of color matched, its sexy as hell, I just dont want to deal with the paint chipping. Thats just my luck, lol.
I have my eyes on a set of black housing headlights as well. I think those will blend nicely, well, after the orange reflectors are removed, lol.
