my name is carlos and i’m an addict, oops! Wrong spot, nah but i’m an addict to speed! Recently bought my first gmc truck and so far so good!. Really like how nice it rides, but it is a slow turd lol. Its a 2003 GMC Sierra 5.3 extended cab. Currently i’ve only done exterior mods so far to clean it up. I’m in the process of getting a list of parts to hopefully get it into the 12’s on nitrous, and hopefully find a supercharger in the future. For now, it does need a trans rebuild and i plan to put a shift kit, a higher stall with a good trans cooler. If i have time, i’ll set up a thread about the truck.

If the trans needs a rebuild may I suggest taking a look at 4L80 swaps.

Yeah i’ve been thinking about the 4l80e, just dont want to spend too much on the trans since i’m not going to be spraying all the time lol. I’ve had luck with the 4l60e before, plus i’ve decided to just keep a stock torque converter, hoping for one 13 sec pass and use the truck for towing my turbo trans am.
