Default Hi there, I'm a beginner in fixing up my truck.

I'm 18 and I'm a proud owner of a 2003 GMC Sierra SLE 1500 extended cab. So far I'm working and going to school. With the extra money I earn I put in my truck. It's hard when you know there's so much to do and don't know how to do it. I'm planning to get another truck but not anytime soon. The next truck I hope in getting is either a chevy ss or gmc vortec max but i don't know which one is better. Since I've recently gotten a good paying job, I've added a sound system, gotten flow masters, and put an Injen intake. Right now I'm struggling to perfect my sound system. My lights are dimming. I recently bought a capacitor hoping it would stop the dimming. Haven't received it, bought it online. Any kind of help is better than none. Thanks

Welcome to the site! Id say get an SS in the future but then again I am biased As far as your sound system goes, instead of a capacitor id invest in an optima yellow top and a slighty bigger alternator...as well as a GOOD set of wires, and when i say good i dont mean a cheap 0/1 gauge kit just because its big, haha. Id personally recommend the Kicker 0 gauge kit or the JL Audio 0/1 gauge kit. I have ran and installed both and they are some awesome wires! That will definitely make your system not only sound better but also will keep your lights from dimming when the bass hits.
