Figured I should introduce myself. My name is David i have had a few cars over the years most I built some I didn't. And I've had several bikes but a few years ago I decided to get out of the hobby. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (cancer) and really couldn't afford it anymore. It freaked me out but I'm cool with it now and hoping to get time to have a strong street truck. I picked up a 2002 stepside Sierra with a 4.8 and was thinking on a 6.0 swap. But I keep hearing about mid 10's with a turbo on the 4.8 with just fuel upgrades and cam. Sounds to good to be true. But worth a look. My last car was a high 9 procharged 402. But with bills I have that is out of the question at least for now. I do still have a few left over parts so it will help on costs. I have plenty of 8an line and fittings a few walbros that are new a magna fuel boost ref regulator and some comp 1:85 pr magnum rockers a set of beehive springs with to retainers and steel locks some comp push rods and a nitrous system from nx with a few spare bottles. Anyway just seeing what the options are while saving as much as possible.
Not looking to be the fastest but enough to have some fun with
Oh yeah the truck has a fresh motor (stock) headman headers, duals w single chamber flows, predator, and cold air kit. Nothing special but a little anyway.

Welcome man !!!
You are right on man , LSx love boost , stock long blocks are making big power ! Keep that 4.8, add some boost and have a fast truck for less than the other makes spend to go fast.
Post some pics, truck looks killer in your avatar.

I haven't had time to take any yet but will this weekend. That's it in my avatar though. Thanks. Does anyone offer a complete kit with a 76? Considered maybe picking up a used kit maybe even a procharger kit instead of turbo. But turbo is the way I am leaning. If anyone knows of a good deal let me know

Will dual walbro 255's fit in the fuel bucket on the 02? Considering putting my nitrous on til I figure out boost and get the coin to do it.i wonder how well the 4.8 would do with colder plugs and 150 wet? It has the predator tuner if I run the low octane tune with colder plugs and the dual walbros will 150 be ok for it?

We have some great sponsors on here that know GM truck forced induction , they are on the right>>>>>>>>> Trick and KB racing are two of them.
As far as the fuel pumps , yes you can fit dual 255s in the stock bucket , but also walbro has new 400 and 450 lph pumps you can get and they both fit in the bucket also . I'll bow out on your nitrous question , but I wouldn't even think about tuning it for nitrous with a predator , you need a custom tuner( person ) or software like EFI live or HP tuners for that.
