Hey guys, and possibly a few girls. Just heard about this site from a buddy of mine I know through our local RaceLubbock.com forum, which is a part of RaceTexas.net. I attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock and work on my 1995 S-10 when time and money permit. I went through my phases of wanting to put 2 18" Solo-Barics in, wanting to bag it, and having neons in it. Now I'm just about looking decent looking and going fast. My plans from here on out are as follows:

*Updated with the purchase of the LS1 block*

Performance:
Not sure as to whether I'm going to bolt up some stock heads/cam and truck intake (Victor Jr.) or what yet. Ideas are welcome though.
M6 tranny
Intake
Heads
Cam
Pulleys
Exhaust-not sure about the setup I want yet (x, y, true dual). Debating a quiet muffler(s) with e-cutouts.
Aluminum driveshaft
12 bolt w/ 3.73's
Upgrade brakes

Other:
Hood (26 lb. functional fiberglass 2 3/4" cowl induction)
Roll pan (fiberglass or urethane)
Replace my heavy tonneau cover for a low-pro one
Racing Seats
'98 front grill
New Valance/Bumper
Paint it glossy black w/ flat black Indy stripes
Black Z06 rims w/ red brake calipers

Yeah, I'd like to do an LS1 swap eventually when I get the money, but that'll be a while, plus my Dad just wants me to "maintain" the truck for now. Yeah, right. That's why I'm doing gears and looking for somewhere to get a custom chip for a 95, since they won't be visible.
I saw in a Sport Truck issue where they got the computer, tranny, ignition, and LS1 engine dropped in a 99 Sonoma. With a CompCams cam and Lingenfelter heads it ran a 12.34 @ 113 detuned and traction problems. I'd love to see 11's N/A with my truck, lol. Dreams, dreams......

Well I bought a honed LS1 (347) for $200 last weekend and it's currently sitting in my living room awaiting the funds for the other parts and install. Just debating whether to put on stock parts for now or save up and get the guys here at TSP to do it right the first time...

I've decided to go with the Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake and keep it EFI for the reliability and fuel economy (if that exists). I can get ahold of some stock '01 heads, so I'll probably do that for now unless I come across a killer deal on some or my friends here at TSP can hook me up with a h/c package.
