hey, im chris. i have a lifted 1990 silverado that ive been wanting to do an lsx swap in for a couple years now. bought a complete 5.3 for $50 so time to start planning out the build.

I know a guy in topeka that can do your wiring harness if ya need some help he knows his stuff

awesome! i still got some homework to do as far as the wiring goes. i have been leaning towards buying a custom harness so it would be labeled to make that part a little easier on me.

i may take you up on that tho because i will only want what the motor needs to run. no a/c or anything like that. i will be having surgery in a month or so, so it will be a while before i am to that point, but if you want to pm me some info on the guy you know that would be great!

Welcome, you're not too far away from me.

There are a couple local guys on this board, one doesn't post much but has a 95' that was 5.3 swapped with a big turbo running low 10 second slips.

It would be a plug and play wiring harness he take both harnesses one from your truck and one from the 5.3 and wires it all up will be plug and play it would be like a painless wiring harness

oh ok. so i would take the harness out of the truck and take that to him with the 5.3 harness? so far i have been looking into the harness from nelson. im not a pro at wiring, so im tryin to make sure i get whatever will make it easiest on me lol.

yea ive been tryin to get started on it for a couple years now, but i shattered my foot and ankle at work and have been on crutches the whole time ive had the truck. i got the truck all tore up and have been stuck there for a while lol
