new to me rcsb! (Dezert1500's truck)
#1
Hey everyone, I'm new to this site as my first 04 ecsb silverado had a 4.3l in it. I had it for 7 years until I unfortunately wrecked it in an accident on the freeway about 2 months ago. I got the truck as a gift from my parents when I was 18, and I've spent so much hard earned money and time into that thing during the last 7 years, from lowering it 2/4 on 22's to spindle lifting it 5/2 on 33's then back to stock/shackle on 285/70/16's. I loved that truck and did basically everything to it except performance mods other than a K&n cai, magnaflow, tru-cool, and 4.10's. I absolutely hated the v6, but dealt with it as it was a daily driver and I planned on doing an LQ9 swap next summer since it was at about 120k.
So I ended up totaling it, got a check from my insurance, and found Matt's (Dezert1500) truck for sale less than an hour away from me. I immediately drove over and put a down payment on it, and drove it home 2 weeks later after the insurance check came in the mail! So now I'm lucky enough to daily drive this 500hp beast! I'm no mechanic, and don't touch engines for **** but I've learned a lot about silverados on gmfullsize.com over time, and knew this truck was professionally built with premium parts. I have always dreamed of having a 6.0l in a silverado, and all the mods I'd do to it, but now I have this one and it's basically completely built for me! anyway, I still can't describe how stoked I am on it and how fun it is to drive. Anyway, I've done a few things to it myself recently, so on to the pics...

If you have something in there you really need to lock up, that old man camper top isn't "secure". It'd be very easy to bust one of those windows and take everything. The rest of the truck looks great but that camper is ridiculous.
