Default Running Too Lean? Help!?

Whats Up Everybody, Im New Here, Anyways, I Gotta Problem. I Have A 2000 Gmc 5.3l With Vararam Intake, Mass Air, Mti Throttlebody, Logtubes, 3 Inch Y-pipe W/o Cats. It Acts Like Its Runnin Too Lean. It Hesitates, Bogs Down, And Has Considerable Power Loss Below 2000 Rpm. It Clears Out And Runs Fine Above 2ooo. THINK ITS RUNNING LEAN? Any Suggestions?

Hi... and welcome. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here but I'm not one of them

If you contact Nelson Performance you can get a tune for your truck that will probably solve your problems or perhaps get a dyno tune in your area.

Ditch the MAF the granatelli maf is horrible about leaning out the misture for a fairly modified truck like yours. Also give Allen at Nelson Performance a call he can fix you up with a tune that should do the trick also and take care of your problem.

Welcome! I agree with 1slow01Z71, ditch the MAF and get the PCM tuned to compensate for the longtubes and catless y-pipe, and that should help alot. A decent torque converter would be the icing on the cake. Try starting a thread in the performance section and I'm sure you'll get a ton of input
