Guess its about time to introduce myself. Proud owner of a 04 Z66 Avalanche with 180K, recently built a 6.0 that lasted 519 miles before starting to act up. It turns out the reground camshaft killed it! I got it from a banned member that has a history of killing engines, my mistake for not researching reground camshafts and the guy selling them. After the 6.0 problem presented itself a brand new LS1 crate engine went in(specd for 04 GTO) Currently I am happy with the LS1 as it has made it a entirely different truck to drive....still sick over how much money went into the 6.0 and its early demise.

You will like my next project, picking up one of my 5.3 blocks I have from the machine shop on Friday, building it for a OBS LS series swap w/T56. Nothing too fancy with the engine, bored 20 over and using a 0965 camshaft with ported 706 heads. Mainly just want a fun play truck so I can stop messing with my DD.
