I've been a member for a while. I've lurked from time to time, but I don't think I have ever posted on the truck site. I know a few members (Beastmode, Aeroking, Mater, SoLow) from other forums & local meets.

I have owned my truck for 17+ years. I bought it completely stock & have done most modifications to it myself (no paintwork). It is a 1990 Chevy 454SS truck with a 461 ci BB with a T56 behind it. It has 4.56 gears/Eaton posi in the stock rear housing. I built the motor, but the heads/intake were ported by LPE & it is their hyd roller cam as well. The truck is a blast to drive & I get alot of comments about the 'vette wheels (whether good or bad). I have done the 2002 & 2007 Hot Rod Power Tours as well as several other events over the years. I'm planning on going to the Sport Truck Shootout this year www.454ss.com (2nd time). Look forward to chatting with some of yinz (I'm a Pittsburgher through & through).

Later.

Nice ride, yah I say ya been here for a lil while 2004. I bet that thing is a blast to drive with a real BB and a 56 instead of the choked off BB that came in them...

I bet the truck is a blast to drive. The more gear bangers around the better.

5:13 gears??? I thought my 4.56s were a little steep. That thing has to launch pretty hard. WHat kind of 60ft times?

I haven't done any "real" launches but with my 275/55-20's that are 32" tall and occasional towing, my 5.13's are perfect. 1900 rpm @70mph. I do have 29" slicks for the track.
