Just Checkin in
Just found this site,i'm new to the performance game.A friend brought me to the track with him and now I'm hooked.I have a Maroon 99 Silverado LS ECSB w/5.3. I added Gibson shorty headers,Granatelli MAS, K&N Air intake and E3 spark plugs.It ran low 16's.I would like to get as much tech info on this engine as is possible.

what is the engine family of the 5.3? The cover on the intake has vortec on itso i assume it is a vortec engine.The heads looked silver so I assume the heads are aluminum.
