I've got a 99 Silverado Reg cab, Longbed, 2wd 5spd with a blown 4.3.

It's an old work truck with 350K miles on it...

I've already started to do a little bit to it.

So far I've tore out the interior and am in the middle of cleaning, fixing and painting the parts.

My main problem right now though is what to do with the engine. I'd like to pick up a LS motor and put it in there but I really don't know what I need.

I could tear things apart and put them back together (usually with no left over parts, LOL)

If someone could tell me the specs or part # to buy I could build a motor but I just don't know how to figure that stuff out (mostly compatability of parts) like Cams, springs... you know that kinda stuff

Oh and anything I do needs to be done outside and with hand tools. I don't have a garage or air compressor/tools
