Hello from the Sunshine state

I've been looking around for advice and help with my new project. A 93 S10 that curently has a 2.8L (first ting to go!). I have a 5.3L out of a 05 Silerado that I have an LS6 intake and injector for and a new set of headers. This is my first LS class motor and I've Picked up some things but still have a lot to learn. I'm and old dog learning new tricks. Any help would be helpful.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have any ideas for cam selection? Or would it even be worth the expence right now. The 5.3L has 295hp now. Add to that an LS6 intake and injectors, new cold air tube, 1.75" long tube headers, and a dyno-tune. It could realisticly do 335hp in a truck that had 110hp.

Hmm, I would normally say a cam swap later is pretty easy but I don't know how much room you will have in the engine bay when you stuff that 5.3 in there. I'd still say, get it in and running before you worry too much about adding power. Once you get used to 300ish in the truck then swap the cam out.
