Default First "hello" and first question..

Hi@all,
just found this forum by yahoo.com and it looks to be exactly the one I was searching for.

OK, maybe some of you'll think right now "eh, what kind of english is that this guy's writing?jesus.."
Well, thats the german version of this language and I want to say sorry in advance for all mistakes you'll find in future.

I live near Stuttgart/Germany, if you don't know where it is, just look at the emblem on the hood of a Porsche. I can tell you, its really hard to be accepted here as a driver of a Chevy PickUp truck between all the Benzes and Volkswagen Golfs.. But there's one advantage, with an american truck, you're something like one-of-a-kind.

OK, enough of my poor life

At first, I've got a question, maybe you can help me:
I'll be in the States for the first time in May '07. I'll arrive in L.A., then I'll drive to Vegas, Frisco etc
Where do I get some dates and adresses of car/truck shows in the south-west during my stay in the States?
I already have one, the Pomona Swap Meet in Pomona fairplex/Los Angeles June, 3rd, but thats not enough....

Furthermore, I'd be happy for some adresses of big/great car shops or motor-"must-visit"'s in the 3 states (CA, AZ, NV).

Thanks in advance for your answers!

JP

Welcome to the site.
I also suggest google.com or yahoo.com to search for upcoming car shows.

Thanks for your answers.
I already searched for car shows and found 179,000,000 results.
Know what I mean? Even if I would separate all show which be considered, i don't know if they're worth to be visited.

So I thought maybe a member already was at a cool show in southwest or knows somebody who knows somebody who knows.....

try posting in the "regional section", the western region covers all three states and hopefully those guys will know what is happening in their area. I find out about most car shows and such from local club websites, maybe they'll know of something around there that they can bring to your attention

we did that in '04 with a British guy down here in Louisiana, we had a blast hanging out, later in '05 while the hurricanes were coming through, who calls but good all Eamonn from the UK just to check on me... he was calling all of us that he met (about 6 people) to make sure we were all ok and making it through the storm
