Thumbs up old to ls1 tech new to this site

hey guys i just got a 04 escalade ext to drive when im not driveing my 98 ls1 z28 around and i would like to get a cold air intake system for it but i wasent shure what to go with that was a decent price and perfomed well.

Welcome to this side! I'd go with a Volant or the K&N. I've had both and liked them both.

get the Magnacharger Radix, it comes with a free filter

I'm running the Volant, but I think they are all about the same, hell, I think the K&N drop in would have been a better value actually.

well maybe a hand held programmer,rims and im working on a stereo system for it. i have the bose and it sound good i just need some thump but im haveing a hard time with a box. oh and the exhaust has a good bark to it when im on it but it all looks factory underneath and my uncles avalanche dont sound as good or as loud do the esky's have a different exhaust than the avalanche?

well the eskys are 6.0s, correct me if im wrong someone but all of the half ton avalanches are 5.3s... then the 3/4 ton ones are 8.1s and i dunno if the 6.0s available

let me be the first to tell you... adn i can guarantee i wont be the last, dont get a hand held programmer. just ship your computer out and get it tuned, ive been told this a MILLION times by almost everyone on this site and im sure there gonna tell you

and my truck is a 6.0
