Default Finally made an account

I decided to finally make an account since I’m finally serious about investing into my truck. The only mods my ‘10 Silverado 5.3L is a K&N filter, exhaust & tune. For a beginner what should I order first is the question. I’m open to every opinion so feel free to leave some wisdom.

What are your goals? How far out of hand do you want this to go?

If I sound too vague my bad but I want it ready for the streets. That way when a mustang or camaro ***** the stick I’ll put most of them into their place. The budget each month would be around $1200

Save up for a couple months or half a year and just slap a blower on it.

That's literally the best way to smack it with 100-120hp in one crack with nothing else done.

Or if that's not the route you want you'll need to dig into the engine. Like with a camshaft swap and headers to gain another 70-90hp.

mustang gts new ones run 12.5, new Camaros 12.3 both autos.
honestly a blower kit or turbo kit will easily do that, but then you'll need to build the transmission. The stock will take it for only so long before it goes.
Even full bolt-ons I don't think you'll beat one without some sort of forced induction (unless you build the engine or put a different engine in it), an older one yeah possibly.
Id defiantly read some of the build sheets on what people have done to their trucks.

His 2010 should have the 6L80e, that will hold up pretty well in the 500-550hp range still. The key is the tuning for keeping them alive and healthy.

I wish my recall mobile had that transmission in it.
But to chase down a new mustang or Camaro he would need about that much power. unless its a 2x4

If you don't know a lot about how to make power, a turbo kit can be a handful on install. If its your DD Id personally go with a blower. 3 to choose from root, screw, and centrifugal.
Whatever you decide to do, don't buy the ebay junk 1200$ turbo kits. Also don't try to piece a turbo kit together ether unless you have someone help you. My knowledge is not that great I know enough to be dangerous. Id check out peoples build sheets to get an idea of what parts they are running. Fuel pump, ejectors, throttle body, ect .
If you want to go cheap a ZEX kit would be the best buy.
